Worlds of Charity-Sequel I

"Let everything you do be done in love" (Co. 16,14), and "For the Son of Man himself did not come to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." (Mk 10,45). According to the teaching of the Gospel, the Catholic Church in China advocates justice, actively participates in the construction of the country and undertakes social welfare activities.

Each according to her capacity, the Churches in different parts of China do charitable works and show their love for the society, such as doing relief works, giving medical help to the disabled and other social services. Some dioceses run adult language schools, computer training schools, kindergartens, clinics, rehabilitation centers, homes for the elderly, etc.

Some dioceses help the local government departments to raise funds for Hope Schools, or else, they encourage the faithful to be generous in donating to the Hope Projects, in giving aims to the poor and to the victims of natural disasters and the disabled; hold free medical consultations, organize benefit performances, and voluntary repairs.
