Turtledove and Quail
Paint the head and back with a mixture of ink and ochre. Before the first strokes are dry, add ink dots. When the ink is dry, add a layer of shade three (Label three) of azurite. The layer of azurite should not be too thick; otherwise it will cover the other colours. The beak, legs and claws can be painted with carmine or vermilion. Apply thick white dots at the neck. Do not let the white dots cover the ink dots.
