The development of metalware at different historical stages is best represented by the gold and silver wares of the Warring States Period(475B.C.-221 B.C.), the jewelry and copper mirrors of the Tang Dynasty(618-907), and the enamel of the Ming Dynasty(1368-1644). Modern Chinese metalware primarily includes enamel, gold and silver wares, jewelry, and cooper and tin objects. In contemporary China, enamel production has seen the greatest technical improvements.
