Mount Gongga

Mount Gongga is the Number One peak in the Hengduan Mountains and amongst the most famous peaks in the world.
    The word"Gong"in Tibetan means permanent snow cover, and "ga"means white,

SO Gongga means white snow cover. Mount Gongga is located in the Miya Raogang area, a traditional Tibetan Buddhist administrative division. Local people also call it Miya Gongga.

    At this tranquil time and place, the mountains and the sky, the sun and the clouds were showing their earliest beauty and brilliance of the day.

 

    The air was quiet and peaceful. Apart from the clicking of camera shutters, there was not another sound. The cold wind that had beer blowing when we came out was gone. I felt as il1 was standing at the same time and spot as the Indian M.S Kohli who Scaled Mount Qomolangma in l 965 and sighed from the bottom of my heart.
