Distribution: spread in warm water of the Pacific Ocean, Indian Ocean and Atlantic Ocean

    They are large turtles. Their bodies are more than one meter long and weigh over 100 kilograms. Their back shells are brown yellow and their head, neck and limbs cannot shrink into the shell. Living in the sea, they feed on fish, crustacean, mollusks and seaweed.The females can produce eggs several times a year.

   They receive second grade national protection.
